Why It’s Called the Amalia Collection | The Story Behind Our Design

Why Is It Called the Amalia Collection?

Before Posdata:V had a name, it was something else: Viizenta.

It was the name of Cintia’s grandmother.

And for a while, it was the name of the brand too.

A Name We Couldn’t Keep, but Couldn’t Forget

We couldn’t keep it.

But we couldn’t let go of what it meant either.

So we made a decision early on.

If the name couldn’t stay, the intention would through the collections.

We wanted our grandmothers to be part of this.

Not in an obvious way.

But in the way things feel.

A quiet homage. A presence behind the design.

The Meaning Behind Amalia

Amalia is Carla’s grandmother.

And somehow, this base felt like her.

Elegant, without trying.
Delicate, but with presence.
Always thoughtful in the details.

She has always loved fashion. Flowers. The small things that make something feel complete.

That sensibility became the starting point for this design.

Designing Emotion Into Form

The kitten heel, the shape, the balance, the lightness... all of it felt like an expression of that same essence.

Not loud.

But impossible to ignore.

The Amalia base became exactly that: a starting point.

A silhouette that holds intention without needing attention.

Why Collections Have Names Like This

For us, naming a collection is not about marketing.

It’s about memory.

Each name carries something personal: a reference to people, feelings, or moments that shaped how we design.

Because objects don’t start with aesthetics.

They start with stories.

And those stories stay, even when names change.

A Quiet Way of Remembering

The Amalia Collection is not just a design.

It’s a way of remembering where this came from.

And who it is for.

Because behind every piece, there is always something more human than product.

With cariño,
Posdata:V

P.S. Some stories stay, even when names change.
